Topic: 24-Year Old Man Beheads His 5-Year Old Son For N1m To Buy Cows In Adamawa {PHOTO}

Adamawa state Police Command has on Tuesday paraded a 24 year old man Bappa Alti of Gamji Village, in Gombi local Government Area of Adamawa state for beheading his 5year old son Buba Bappah for the sum of one Million Naira which he intends to use in purchasing cows.
The father of the beheaded child, Baffa Alti (left) and Alhaji Sange Hassan, the accomplice.

The command’s spokesman D. S. P Muhammad Ibrahim said the arrest of Alti, was sequel to a complaint that the suspect has earlier in the day took the boy to his farm only to return without him and could not give a convincing explanation about the boy's whereabouts.

D. S. P Ibrahim explained that, following the failure of Alti to convince the grandfather of the deceased when he enquired about the whereabouts of his grandson sparked suspicious about the I'll motives of Alti which led to the involvement of the Police in the matter.

According to the PPRO, following the dissatisfaction of the grandfather by the explanation of his son, he mobilized a search team, which on arriving the farm found the mutilated body of the
deceased child.

“The grandfather mobilized some men for a search and unfortunately on reaching the farm, they discovered the dead body without a head”, he added.

D. S .P Ibrahim maintained that, the grand father (Alti Alhaji Guja) reported the matter to the Police which led to the arrest of the murderous father; who also confessed in the course of investigation to
have killed his son with his own hands using a stick and a machete in anticipation of a million Naira from one Alhaji Sange Hassan of the village.

The principal suspect Alti Bappa while fielding questions from newsmen confessed to have committed the crime, saying that it was Alhaji Sange Hassan that motivated him to bring a human head for N 1Million just as he blamed the devil for manipulating his spirit to commit such a hideous crime while expressing suitable penitence for Allah's forgiveness.

Bappa said he wanted to use the money to buy cattle for rearing and also take adequate care of his family, most especially his aged parents.

However in his response, the alleged ritualist, (Alh. Sanje Hassan) who is the ward head of Ganji village denied the allegation, insisting that it was a set up aimed at blackmailing his person.

D.S.P Muhammad said that as soonas investigations are concluded the suspects will be charged to Court for prosecution.

Church Sacks Pastor For Attending Rick Ross Concert

Pastor Rodney Wills was just about to reach 4 years at Mt. Salem Baptist Church when the unusual happened. Reported by AmericaPreachers.com

He is the youngest pastor to be installed at 26 years old and is now the shortest term pastor in Mt. Salem’s 109 year history. On Saturday, Mt. Salem voted him out for attending a local Rick Ross concert. With a vote of 11 to 3, the 14 deacons met at 11pm Saturday night to discuss and come to a conclusion that they did not need his services anymore. Rev. Wills arrived to the church the next day for Sunday morning worship service and notice his parking sign taken down and his name removed from the office door.
The deacons even asked another minister from the community to officiate the service that morning. “We cannot have our leader supporting people of this world who are tearing down the kingdom of God.” said Deacon Miles Langley. According to Deacon Langley, this is not the first time Rev. Wills has attended a concert while pastoring Mt. Salem. 9 months ago the diaconate board met with Rev. Wills when word was given to them that many youth and young adults spotted the pastor at a Lil Wayne concert.

“We know that many saints will have mixed opinions from our actions, but this is not how we do things here at Mt. Salem. We cannot have a pastor praising the world one minute then praising the Lord the next. Period” said Deacon Langley.

Rick Ross recently made nationwide news when he was dropped from Reebok and other endorsements for lyrics advocating rape towards women. ”Put Molly all in her Champagne/ She ain’t even know it/ I took her home and I enjoyed that/ She ain’t even know it,” he raps on the track.

Drunk Policeman Shot Three Men and A Pregnant Woman In Lagos

Three gun-shot victims rushed to the Accident and Emergency Ward of the Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH), Idi-Araba, on Monday night are in stable condition, while the fourth person died on arrival, Daily Sun learnt yesteray.

The victims, three men and a pregnant woman, were allegedly shot by one Corporal Mohammed Abubakar from MOPOL 17, Akure, Ondo State at Diamond Estate, Festac Town, following a disagreement over an unconfirmed matter. It was gathered that the four victims were allegedly shot in a fast food joint by the corporal who was suspected to be drunk at the time of the incident.

Eyewitnesses said the disagreement and flaring-up of tempers occurred that night at the fast food joint where noodles is the main delicacy. The angry corporal opened fire on the victims and fled. The policeman who is not attached to the Lagos Police Command, was said to be on an unofficial visit to a company in Diamond Estate.
Meanwhile, when our reporter visited LUTH, the three surviving victims were being attended to by doctors who assured that they will make it. The consultants regretted the death of one of the victims, blaming his demise on the site of the bullet wound and the time of arrival of the patients to the hospital.

A consultant, who spoke to Daily Sun on condition of anonymity, disclosed that of the three surviving patients, the two men will go for surgery because of the nature of wounds they sustained from the gunshot and also to retrieve bullets and pellets from their bodies.

“The pregnant woman who appears to be a bit more lucky, will not need surgery, she will undergo intensive and general care and be discharged. One of the men was shot in the eye, ophatalmologists are working hard to ensure the wound does not degenerate, he will be operated soon.

“The second man was shot in the thigh, he will also undergo surgery, apart from the damage done on the site of the wound, there are indications that bullet pellets lodged in the muscles must be retrieved,” he said.

Confirming the incident, LUTH’s spokesperson, Mrs Hope Nwawolo, said the three victims are in stable condition and are responding to treatment. “The hospital has drafted a team of experts to ensure that they are well taken care of medically”, she said.

The state Commissioner of Police (CP), Mr Umar Manko, confirmed that a police corporal from MOPOL 17, Akure, Ondo State was responsible for the shooting. “The corporal is not from the Lagos State Police Command. He is from MOPOL 17, Akure. He was attached to a company in Festac Town, but I wonder what a mobile policeman from Akure is doing in Lagos.

The CP said he has asked the Area Commander for Festac area, Mr Dan Okoro, to contact his Squadron Commander to explain what the policeman from his unit was doing in that company at that time. Manko disclosed the force has declared manhunt for the corporal who took to his heels after committing the crime.

Another eyewitness said that the corporal went to the fast food vendor to eat noddles when a quarrel broke out between him and other customers. The source said in the process, he fired sporadically and took to his heels. “The policeman would have been lynched by a mob, but they were afraid to go after him as he was fully armed,” the eyewitness said.

How I Escaped Plots To Kill Me In Prison – Al-Mustapha

MAKURDI — Major Hamza Al-Mustapha, former Chief Security Officer, CSO, to late Head of State, Gen. Sanni Abacha, has revealed that he escaped several plots to kill him while he was still in prison. He said but for the intervention of Wantaregh Paul Unongo and retired Controller of Prison, Iorbee Ihiagh, he would have been eliminated after the death of his former boss Gen. Sanni Abacha.

Maj. Al-Mustapha spoke last weekend in Jato Akaa, when he led his wife, son of the former Head of State, Mohammed Abacha, friends and loyalists to pay homage to Second Republic Minister of Steel, Wataregh Paul Unongo, in his country home.

Hamza al-Mustapha

He said: “On the 29th of March, 2004, some people planned to kill me. I was to be forced out of the prison and taken to an unknown destination where they were to take my life.

“Thank God, a reliable and trusted son of Tivland and my friend was officer in charge. He was directed to release me without documents in the wee hours of the night.

“As God would have it, he sought for guidance from our father and leader, Wantaregh Paul Unongo, who in turn directed him not to allow them take me away for subsequent killing.

“God saved my life on that day. Let me say, from the day the journey started, the day my father, the late General Sanni Abacha, died to the 12th of of July this year when I was released, we have had so many attempts to take our lives but God Almighty preserved us.

“Alhaji Mohammed Sanni Abacha and I initially were framed through scripted stories released to the media and we were arrested. Thank God that subsequently justice was served having passed through series of travails and torture.

“But today it is just normal that we should come home to Tivland before my father Wantaregh Paul Unongo and in the presence of CP Ihiagh, who was prematurely retired because he refused to play games with my life. God Almighty has decided that I will still see today.”

ASUU Strike: Sultan Urges FG, ASUU To Give Dialogue A Chance.

Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar III has appealed to the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), to call off the lingering strike and embrace dialogue with the federal government.

The Sultan, who expressed sadness over the strike embarked upon by ASUU, lamented that students spend seven years in some universities and graduate without acquiring education.

He stressed the need for ASUU and the federal government to go back to the negotiating table, with a view to finding a lasting solution to the problem.
“We are now back to square one and we seem not to have a solution at hand to solve the problem. As fathers, we will continue to plead. So, I am pleading with ASUU to call off the strike and for the federal government to be given a chance to fulfil its obligation.

“I believe ASUU and the federal government should give dialogue a chance. We must find a common ground. Negotiation is a give and take and people should negotiate based on mutual respect.

“I don’t believe in strike action because students suffer in the end. We want to see education move to greater heights in this country. So, this should be an issue of give and take and what ASUU will give should be what the federal government will be able to afford. So, I call on ASUU to suspend the strike action, resume talks and go back to the negotiating table so that we can make progress,” he advised.

Policemen Arrested Over Lynching Of Students In Badagry

The policemen accused of collaborating with hoodlums to kill two youths in Badagry, Lagos State, have been arrested.
They were arrested on Friday, according to the police authorities.
However, a new video made available to our correspondent identified two of the policemen as Inspector Adefemi Ashogbon, who is the station officer of the Badagry Police Division, and one Sergeant John Sonayon.

culled from punch
The two policemen and four other yet-to-be-identified policemen could be seen at the scene watching hoodlums beat the victims to death.

While Ashogbon and Sonayon were in the midst of the crowd, the four yet-to-be-identified policemen could be seen standing beside a white police patrol vehicle.

Ashogbon, who wore a green pullover and holding an AK47 rifle in the video, was the policeman that interviewed the victims during their torture.

It was learnt that the two policemen and some of the hoodlums had been arrested.

PUNCH Metro had reported that two youths, Ifechukwude Nwaikpor, and one Kazeem, were lynched in Ajara, Badagry, on July 21, 2013.

Nwaikpor, a final year student of Geology and Mining, and Kazeem were beaten to death after a misunderstanding with residents of the area.

PUNCH Metro learnt that at least eight people had been arrested over the incident. The state Commissioner of Police, Umar Manko, had set up a special team of policemen to handle the matter.

Manko exonerated the victims of robbery last Thursday and berated the Divisional Police Officer, Badagry Division, CSP Mohammed Dankoli, for unprofessional conduct.

He had said, “The Divisional Police Officer did not present the matter to us the way it happened. When we started asking questions, we discovered that the two people, who were killed, were not armed robbers contrary to what the DPO told us. When we saw the video clips and watched the way those boys were killed, we told ourselves that we would be failing in our duties if we fail to bring everyone involved to justice.”

The Police Public Relations Officer, Ngozi Braide, said all the policemen in the video had been arrested.

“Investigations are ongoing. The outcome of the investigations will be made public in due course,” she added.
