11 Suspected Boko Haram Members Arrested In Adamawa

   

11 suspected Boko Haram members have been arrested in Michika, Adamawa State, Commanding Officer of Special Operation Battalion, Mubi, Lt.- Col Beyidi Martins, yesterday, confirmed.

Speaking to newsmen in Yola, Adamawa State, Beyidi said the suspects were arrested on Saturday by men of the battalion and JTF from Maiduguri, Borno State, with the assistance of the Civilian JTF.

According to reports, a female police officer was yesterday attacked and almost stripped unclad by a dreaded wealthy man.

The police officer, Inspector Tochukwu Offoegbu was allegedly on duty when the the ‘big man,’ who owns a park in Onitsha, approached her, allegedly telling her that he would facilitate her removal from Onitsha as he did to one  Archibong.

She then demanded to know what she did that would warrant her removal, so he reportedly slapped her for questioning him. Eyewitness also revealed that his boys allegedly tore the female officer’s uniform, leaving her almost unclad.

The Abubakar Baraje-led new Peoples Democratic Party, nPDP, has commenced a seven-day fasting and prayer starting from today, in a bid to find a permanent solution to the impasse between the federal government and the Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, following the strike action by the university lecturers.

To ensure its effectiveness, the new PDP  has requested all its members worldwide to embark on the exercise, as it says the spiritual intervention was as a result of the concern of the Baraje-led PDP for the plight of parents and university students due to the continued closure of public universities.

No casualty had been recorded at the incident.

Oblivious to the assault, Fallon Fraker still was paying the cashier as the Peeping Tom quietly took the photos.
A manhunt was launched by police after video surveillance captured the man taking the pictures on his mobile phone at a Raceway gas station in League City, Texas.
Fraker said the incident was calculated from the moment she walked through the sliding doors.
"When I went out of the car he left the store," she said. "As soon as he saw me entering the store, he turned around and went back inside," she said.

Well I guess that might suggest that I kind of grew up in the streets. But not at all; I’m actually a very homely girl. My grandmother is Ibo and in Ibo tradition, after school, the next thing for the woman is the kitchen. So I’m a relatively homely girl. But where did I get all the swag and charisma from? First, I’d say from God. When I started acting, I started going out a lot, to events, to nightclubs; and when I’m out there, I try to study people a lot. I see how the town girls behave, how they talk; more especially those with unusual characters.

A man was arrested, charged and convicted after having sex with a goat, according to court proceedings in the United Kingdom.

Now, a British man, who admitted to having sex with a goat several months ago, was sentenced to six weeks in jail on Thursday. He was also banned from entering facilities that hold animals.

Robert Newman, 23, who sexually assaulted the goat in an animal barn in Devizes Wiltshire, initially denied the charge of having sex with a live animal, but then changed his plea and admitted the attack.

4 Persons Struck Dead By Thunder In Nasarawa

Tragedy struck at Mechanic Village in Lafia Local Government Area of Nasarawa State, when four persons were killed on Friday as thunder struck

According to a witness, the incident occurred at Bukan-Sidi around 7:05 p.m. when the four men were about leaving their workshop following a downpour.

The witness said further that when the deceased noticed that it was about to rain, they decided to lock up their workshop and go home, but before they could leave the workshop thunder struck, killing them instantly.

Agagu Was Hypertensive, Son Says

First son of the late Dr Olusegun Agagu, a former governor of Ondo State, on Saturday said his father was hypertensive.

Agagu, who returned from United States on Thursday, reportedly slumped in Ikoyi, Lagos, where he was having a meeting with Ondo indigenes on Friday evening.

Mr Feyi Agagu said, “He just had a medical examination, which showed that he had a little cholesterol, and was hypertensive. There is diabetics in our family, but it’s nothing major; it was just something he had been dealing with for the past 10 to 15 years. So, there was no inkling that something was about to happen,” Agagu said.
