President Fell Sick, Receiving Treatment In London

The president’s spokesperson confirmed the illness.

President Goodluck Jonathan fell ill while in London on an official visit and had to seek medical attention, his spokesperson, Reuben Abati, has said.

Mr. Jonathan is in London for a meeting of Nigeria’s Honorary International Investors’ Council.

Social network has been buzzing. The twins’ publicist Bayo Adetu tells NET Jude was missing at the wedding because he was stuck in Ghana. Psquare had performed in Accra, Ghana at the ‘Glo and Bounce Slide‘ tour the night before. Adetu says Jude missed his flight and couldn’t get back to Lagos in time for the nuptials.

Jimoh Ibrahim Arrested Over N6b Tax Fraud

According to a report by Sahara Reporters, the Special Enforcement Unit of Federal Inland Revenue Service has arrested billionaire businessman, Jimoh Ibrahim, over a tax fraud that runs into N6.8b.

Sources within the unit told Saharareporters that Mr. Ibrahim was picked up yesterday and is currently under detention at the offices of the agency.

A 40 Year Old Man From Nherera In Mhondoro Grew Breast After Stolen And Sold Some Cattles.

The Villagers believe the man identified as Acry Chinhivi Shayamano has been punished by the cattle owner.

50-year-old Hamilton Magaisa said, “We all know that Acry grew boobs because of his thieving. People who steal are punished in so many ways. I have no sympathy for him.”

Shayamano did admit that he was a thief but denied ever stealing a cattle.

Nigerian Musician Father 'U' Turn Dies At 36

One of Nigeria's most popular 90s musicians Olufemi Mayomi, aka Father U Turn, is dead. The dancehall artiste who rose from poverty as an orphan, to build a successful and inspiring career as a songwriter, recording artiste, TV presenter and performer, passed on in Lagos today, following a brief illness. He was 36 years old. 

The late U Turn was from Kabba-Bunu in Kogi State where he first tried his hands on entertainment, working as a radio and TV presenter.

ASUU Postpones National Meeting To January Over The Death Of Former President

The Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, has postponed its National Executive Council (NEC) meeting, which was supposed to hold today, due to the loss of one of the prominent members of the union, Professor Festus Iyayi, who died in an auto crash on Lokoja-Abuja Expressway, on his way to the Kano, yesterday, for the union’s meeting.

Former ASUU President Festus Iyayi Passes On In A Fatal Crash Today

Former President of Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, Dr. Festus Iyayi, was killed this afternoon in a fatal auto accident in Lokoja, on his way to Kano state for a meeting of the National Executive Council (NEC) of ASUU where the union is expected to call off its four month old strike.

It's being reported that the convoy of the Governor of Kogi State, Mr. Idris Wada, rammed into the vehicle conveying Professor Iyayi and some members of the union to Kano. The university don who is also a popular writer, died on the scene while two other occupants of the vehicle were injured.
