Man kills his pregnant girlfriend because he didn’t want to pay child support

Kaloni Flynn

A man was arrested, charged and convicted of murder related charges after he killed his pregnant girlfriend because he didn’t want to pay child support and his girlfriend refused to get an abortion, according to police reports in Oklahoma.

LeFlore County Police said a man accused of killing pregnant Kaloni Flynn had told another person that if the 20-year-old woman did not end the pregnancy, he would get rid of it for her.

As we reported earlier, police arrested Christopher Simpson Kenyon, 26, on Thursday on two counts of first-degree murder.
"He thought he was the father of her unborn child," LeFlore County Sheriff Bruce Curnutt said.
Her body was found in April in a car parked on McGinnis Lane. She had been shot in the head, police said. Her purse was found in the car, but her cell phone was not located.

Flynn told relatives that Simpson was the father of her child.

The couple had been dating for about three months when Flynn told Simpson she was pregnant. He became angry, police said.
"She did not believe in abortion," Flynn’s father said.

Police said that Simpson was late in paying child support for a child, 7, who lives in Shawnee, Oklahoma.

Investigators were able to trace a cell phone that made several calls to Flynn minutes before she was killed.
The phone was traced back to Simpson.

DNA tests are underway to determine whether Simpson is really the father.

Sheriff Curnutt said that Simpson has been uncooperative since being arrested. He is currently being held without bail in the LeFlore County Jail.
