29 People Arrested For Eating Human Brains (See Photo)

Police finally busted a cruel and disgusting group of people, who admitted to killing humans in order to eat their brains.

Papua New Guinea Police arrested 29 members of an alleged cannibal cult and accused them of killing at least seven suspected witches.

“They do not think they have done anything wrong, and they admitted openly what they have done,” Police Chief Anthony Wagambie Madang said.
The alleged cannibals, eight of whom are women, ate the brains of their victims raw and made soup from their private parts, according to the police report. The 29 people were part of a group of about 1,000 that are against sorcerers because they increased the fees they charge for services.

“We ate raw brains and took body parts such as livers, hearts, privates and other parts back to the Hausman, the traditional men’s house, for our trainers to create other major powers for the members to use,” said one of the detainees.

To hire a witch to reveal the cause of death or cast out an evil spirit, you have to pay 1,000 kina or $475 along with a pig and a sack of rice, but some witches also ask for sex as payment.

“It goes against our ethics and traditional morality to have sex with a sorcerer,” the local leader of a sect in the Tangi area, within Madang Province in northeast Papua New Guinea said.

The suspects are in custody, police said. Murder is punishable by death in the impoverished South Pacific island nation of Papua New Guinea.

Wagambie said that four of the seven victims were killed last week, adding that no remains had been recovered.

“They’re probably all eaten,” he said.
